HRH Sultan Of Perak Graces Perak State Deepavali Celebration 2025.

Arrival of HH Raja DiHilir of Perak.

IPOH, 26 October 2025 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim graced the Perak State Deepavali Celebration 2025 at Stadium Indera Mulia.

HH Raja Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja DiHilir of Perak, Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah and HH Raja Puan Muda of Perak, Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim, HH Raja Kecil Besar Perak, Raja Dato’ Seri Azlan Muzaffar Shah Sultan Nazrin Shah, HH Raja Kecil Sulong Perak, Raja Dato’ Seri Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Raja Ashman Shah and HH Datin Seri Nadia Esham Esham were also in attendance.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja General (Rtd) Dato’ Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin and wife Toh Puan Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Rasiah Mohd Noor and State Assembly Speaker Dato’ Mohammad Zahir Dato’ Abdul Khalid and wife Datin Aznee Abu Samah.

State Legal Adviser Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, State Chieftains and heads of state and federal departments were also present.

In his speech, Dato' Seri Saarani said that Deepavali is celebrated as the festival of lights that illuminates darkness, thus silencing tyranny.

“The light that is kindled is a symbol of the triumph of good over evil, and love over hatred.

“We see one by one violent crime incidents that end lives without mercy. We see young people who have lost their way, tarnishing educational institutions with troubling behaviour.

We see a society that is gradually losing its sense of caring – no longer extending a hand to those in need, no longer admonishing with wisdom.So, in conjunction with Deepavali, let us together correct the situation – rekindle the light of repentance and humanity in each of our hearts,” he elaborated.

At the event, Their Royal Highnesses presented contributions to 70 orphans from Pusat Jagaan Pertubuhan Anak-Anak Yatim Nurul Iman, Pertubuhan Pengurusan Pusat Jagaan 1 Malaysia Perak, Pusat Jagaan Pertubuhan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Pelangi Perak, Persatuan Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Yatim Rumah Visi and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Insan Kanak-Kanak Arut Perum Jothy.

In a related development, it was estimated that more than 10,000 visitors of various races attended to enliven the celebration with a variety of delicacies, including vadai, jelebi, panni poori, falooda, idli and parotta.
