Their Royal Highnesses gracing the Breaking Fast Event with the Media, Corporate Sector, Private Sector, GLCs, NGOs and Youth at Istana Iskandariah

KUALA KANGSAR, 28 February 2026 - HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced a breaking fast event with the Media, Corporate Sector, Private Sector, Government-Linked Companies (GLC)s, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and Youth at Istana Iskandariah here.

His Royal Highness was accompanied by HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Communications Minister Datuk Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil and wife Datin Azrina Puteri Mohamed Mahyuddin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. (Rtd) Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin and wife Toh Puan Datin Seri DiRaja Puan Sri Hajah Rasiah Md. Nor and State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad.

Before breaking fast and performing Maghrib prayers, the Sultan joined in the recitation of tahlil, followed by Isyak and Tarawih prayers with the guests.

Earlier, Sultan Nazrin received business zakat totalling RM5,417,188.56 from eight corporate companies and two individuals for Zakat Perak Al Ridzuan (ZAPAR).

The handover of income zakat contribution was led by Dato' Abdullah Abdul Mannan with RM1 million, followed by Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (Angkasa), represented by its President Datuk Seri Dr Abdul Fattah Abdullah with RM364,852.56.

Next, business zakat from Belati, represented by Johawaki Group CEO Mohamad Akmal Dato’ Johari with RM380,000.00 and Boustead Plantations Berhad, represented by Managing Director Datuk Zulkarnain Md Eusope with RM434,000.00.

CelcomDigi Berhad, represented by Northern Region Head Farizad Khan Msm Mohamed Ali contributed RM107,000.00, Johawaki Plantation Sdn. Bhd., represented by Abdul Hadi Abdul Rahim with RM150,800.00, Lembaga Jurukur Tanah Malaysia with RM250,000.00, Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) with RM200,000.00 and TM Technology Services Sdn Bhd with RM230,536.00.

Also handing over income zakat was Bukit Gantang Member of Parliament Dato' Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal with a contribution totalling RM2.3 million

After the handover session, HRH the Sultan of Perak handed over the zakat to Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd. Annuar Zaini.
