Prime Minister Officiates Opening Ceremony Of Perak PMR 2026 : 4 April 2026.

IPOH, 4 April 2026 – Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim officiated the Opening Ceremony of the MADANI Rakyat Programme (PMR) 2026 at Bulatan Sultan Azlan Shah here.

 

The large-scale programme, led by the Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT), was held in a lively atmosphere, successfully bringing together various ministries, departments and government agencies under one integrated platform, thereby opening space for closer interaction between the government and the people.

 

In his opening speech, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim emphasised that such programmes aim to ensure the people can more clearly understand every step and policy implemented by the government.


"That is why officers assigned to manage the booths are not only to provide information, but also to allow space for reprimands, criticisms or views from the people so that we can improve and enhance our performance.

 

“That is the spirit referred to in the summary of the hadith of Prophet Muhammad SAW, ‘Itqan Fil Amal’ – there is always our desire to increase our efforts so that we can speak at a better level," he said when delivering his speech.

 

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Assembly Speaker Dato’ Seri Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming, Cabinet Members, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar and State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

 

State Legal Advisor Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, Members of Parliament, Perak Territorial Chiefs and state and federal department heads were also in attendance.

 

During the event, Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim also presented contributions to several recipients via the KPKT Sentuhan Kasih Programme – a KPKT going down to the ground initiative to engage with the people, monitor development projects and channel immediate allocations for public infrastructure.

 

As of 4 April 2026, the total number of visitors recorded reached 100,000, reflecting extraordinary public response and enthusiasm towards Perak PMR 2026. This encouraging turnout also demonstrated the people’s high confidence and interest in gaining direct access to various services and initiatives offered by the government.
