Benchmarking Visit On e-Perak System By Planmalaysia Perlis : 11 May 2026.

The PLANMalaysia Perlis delegation conducts a benchmarking visit to UPEN Perak to observe the implementation and development of the e-Perak System

IPOH, 11 May 2026 – A delegation from PLANMalaysia Perlis conducted a benchmarking visit to the Perak State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) to observe the implementation and development of the e-Perak System used by the Perak State Government in managing rural development data.

The visit was led by Perlis Deputy State Secretary (Development) Rusdi Yahya.

The delegation’s arrival was welcomed by Deputy State Secretary (Development) and UPEN Director Halizah Sipun.

The e-Perak System is a rebranding of the e-Desa Information System with improvements via the development of dashboard and printing modules for registered users.

This application was developed to document the profiles of 828 Village Development and Security Committees (JPKK) throughout Perak, taking into account the profiles of residents in settlement areas in both spatial and attribute data.

Through the system, the State Government and JPKK can plan projects and rural development programmes in a more organised, systematic and effective manner based on complete and up-to-date data.

The delegation was also given a briefing on the implementation of the e-Perak System by PerakGIS UPEN, followed by a question and answer session to share views and experiences in implementing the system.

This benchmarking visit is hoped to strengthen cooperative relationship between Perak and Perlis in empowering the use of digital technology to support the rural development agenda and more efficient government service delivery.

Also present were UPEN Senior Deputy Director Haslinda Alias, PerakGIS Unit Head Rosnidawati Mohd Ramli and representatives from the Perlis State Secretariat and PLANMalaysia Perlis.
