IPOH, 8 June 2026 – Auditor-General Dato’ Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi chaired the Closing Meeting on the Audit of the Perak State Government Financial Statements for the Year Ended 31 December 2025 and the third Engagement Session on Issues in the Auditor General’s Dashboard (AGD) for Perak in 2026 at the Operations Room, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here today.

The session aimed to discuss the status of follow-up actions on audit issues still under observation.

Through the engagement session, a total of 11 audit issues involving the Perak Forestry Department and Pengurusan Pasir Perak Sdn. Bhd. were successfully resolved as a result of follow-up actions implemented by the agencies involved.

This achievement reflects the continued commitment of the Perak State Government and related departments in strengthening governance, enhancing accountability and ensuring that every audit remark is given due attention.

Apart from being a monitoring platform, the AGD functions as an important mechanism in expediting audit follow-up actions via continuous monitoring and more systematic coordination between the National Audit Department and implementing agencies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Dato’ Seri Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi officiated the signing and handover of the Auditor General’s Certificate on the Perak State Government Financial Statements for the Year Ended 31 December 2025 to State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

Also present were State Legal Adviser Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, Deputy State Secretary (Development) Halizah Sipun, Deputy Auditor-General (Finance) Azman Mahmood, Audit Follow-Up Division Director Noor Rita Kassim, Perak State Audit Director Abd Aziz Che Daud, Deputy State Financial Officer Muhammad Nazri Abdullah and representatives from the relevant departments and agencies.
