IPOH, 1 February 2024 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad officiated the Enhancement Course for Village Development and Security Committee (JPKK) Chairmen 2024 at the Perak State Secretariat Banquet Hall here.

The course, organised by the State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN), aimed to provide knowledge and requirements as one of the added values ​​in empowering the function and role of JPKK in providing an effective service delivery and governance system.

In addition, the objective of this course was to produce JPKK that focuses on the responsibility of advancing village development and increasing efficiency in planning appropriately for the village, and playing a significant role in furthering community involvement in national development.

The course at 9.00 am started with a briefing session on JPKK policies by a representative of the Rural Community Division, Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW).

The programme continued with a briefing on the types of assistance provided by the Social Welfare Department (JKM) and the Main Database System (PADU) of the Malaysian Statistics Department, Perak.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Rural Development, Plantation, Agriculture and Food Industry Committee Chairman Dato' Mohd Zolkafly Harun, State Women, Family, Social Welfare and Entrepreneur Development Committee Chairman Dato' Salbiah Mohamed, Deputy State Secretary (Development) cum UPEN Director Halizah Sipun and heads of departments and agencies
