IPOH, 11 December 2020 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad officially started work as the new Menteri Besar today.

Dato' Saarani Mohamad arrived at the Perak State Secretariat Building at 9 this morning.

He was greeted on arrival by State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato’ Zulazlan Abu Hassan, Deputy State Secretary (Management) Nor Sham Rahman, Deputy State Secretary (Development) Halizah Sipun and department heads.

A brief ceremony, which began with a doa recitation and a photo session, was held to welcome the Menteri Besar, who is also the Kota Tampan State Assemblyman.

Upon arrival at his office on the first floor, he symbolically tapped on the access card machine to confirm his attendance.

After that, Dato' Saarani was briefed on the administration of the Perak State Government, which was held in private.
