MCO: Friday Prayers According To SOP At Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan: 29 January 2021.

IPOH, 29 January 2021- Friday prayers today at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan were conducted in accordance with the standard operating procedures of the Movement Control Order (MCO).

A maximum of 40 congregants were allowed to attend the Friday Prayers and all the congregants complied with the guidelines such as body temperature screening, filling out personal information forms and so forth.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad and State Secretary Dato Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

The Friday prayers were performed at the Main Surau of Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan and was led by State Mosque Chief Imam Tun Ihsan Abdul Karim.

In the same development, HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah has consented to allow all mosques and suraus throughout the state to hold Friday prayers.

The permission included suraus in office buildings, institutions, universities, colleges, schools and factories during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period.

Religious activities such as lectures were also allowed during the Maghrib and Isyak prayer time in mosques and suraus.

However, any banquet events inside or in the compound of the mosque and surau were still not allowed.

The ruling applies and takes effect on 28 January 2021 until a new ruling is issued during the MCO and Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) period.
