IPOH, 30 November 2021- The Perak State Government via the State Agriculture Department created the 'Kebun Kita' campaign with an allocation of RM3.1 million to strengthen agricultural activities in communities.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said there are two types of assistance in the campaign, i.e., assistance to individuals and communities.

“Individual participants are provided with items such as pots, seeds, fertilisers, biopesticides, planting materials and manuals.

“Meanwhile, community participants are provided with fertigation system sets, fertilisers, soil and other gardening sets.

"Apart from saving money, the crops are fresher and free from the use of chemicals; besides fostering relationships among communities as a leisure activity and mind therapy," he told reporters during the Perak Agriculture Department Urban Farming Promotional Plot Launch at the Perak Menteri Besar’s official residence here today.

He added that this campaign is in line with the slogan "plant what we eat, eat what we plant, and the remainder can be sold or donated".

He also hoped that this effort would be a catalyst to instill love for greening the earth and further strengthen the agricultural sector in Perak.

Also present was Perak Agriculture Department Director Norsiyenti Othman.
