Meet The Clients Day, Opportunity For People To Express Problems Directly

IPOH, 8 February 2022 - The Perak State Government's Meet The Clients Day held at the Indera Mulia Stadium today opened up an opportunity for the people to express their problems directly to the state government leadership.

The programme, attended by the Perak Menteri Besar, Ex-Officio, State Exco members and department heads, aimed to listen, evaluate and strive to resolve the problems faced by the people in an integrated manner.

Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said the programme involved 151 government departments and agencies in Perak, comprising 110 customer service counters, 33 exhibition booths and 8 mobile counter services. The programme received very encouraging response, he added.

“A total of 562 people attended, 176 of them met face-to-face with government personnel to state the problems and complaints faced, while the others were resolved at the counters provided here.

"This step is in line with the state government's commitment to humanise the public delivery system so that the services provided always exceed the hopes and expectations of the people," he explained.

Among the problems and complaints received were on issues related to land matters, citizenship, child adoption and various applications.

He added that some problems were successfully resolved, especially involving small financial implications such as floods, drains, building of suraus and so forth.

He hoped that this programme would continue to be conducted on Tuesday on 2nd week of every month at the same venue to provide the opportunity for more Perakians to meet face-to-face with the state government leadership.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Deputy Secretary (Management) Dato' Nor Sham Rahman and Corporate Division Principal Assistant Secretary Anita Amri, as the secretariat of this programme.
