IPOH, 9 May 2022 - The State Government through the State Development Office (PPN) formed the Up2Date Squad to ensure efficient updating of information of eKasih participants’ data by shortening the census period from two years to just five working days.
Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said this to ensure that the data and information of eKasih participants are always updated, thus facilitating the government and stakeholders to formulate plans and policies related to the people’s wellbeing more accurately.
He said starting 16 May 2022, QR code stickers would be provided to all respondents visited during the eKasih legalisation and verification process in stages and they only need to scan and update the information via the Google form provided.
"The Up2Date squad will then go down to the ground to confirm the information submitted before it is updated into the eKasih system," he told reporters after chairing the State Development Action Meeting (MTPNg) at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here today.
He added that the Perak PPN, in collaboration with the penghulu mukim administration, has introduced a new eKasih registration via the ePenghulu system developed by the state government starting from last April.
Separately, the State Government presented contribution of RM23,100 to the Student Development Sector Welfare Body, Perak Education Department for the purchase of wheelchairs and walking sticks for 21 eKasih poor disabled students (OKU) and hardcore poor.
Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato’ Zulazlan Abu Hassan, State Exco members and Director-General of the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU), Prime Minister's Department (JPM) Datuk Ruji Ubi.
