HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak launching UPSI 25th Anniversary Celebration and UPSI Vehicle Registration Number.

TANJUNG MALIM, 24 May 2022 – HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim graced Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) 25th Anniversary and Aidilfitri Celebrations at Dewan Tuanku Cancelor, Sultan Azlan Shah Campus in Tanjung Malim this morning.

At the event, she also launched UPSI 25th Anniversary Celebration and UPSI Vehicle Registration Number 'UG' which means 'Teachers University' to bring back memories, especially to Budiman's Alumni (SITC, MPSI, IPSI, UPSI).

Accompanying Her Royal Highness were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja’s wife Toh Puan Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Rasiah Mohd Noor, UPSI Pro-Chancellor Tan Sri Dato’ Alimuddin Mohd Dom and wife Puan Sri Datin Hajah Mazlilah Ahmad Mansur, UPSI Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dato’ Dr. Md. Amin Md. Taff and wife Datin Pazilah Yahaya and Perak Exco members.

The Perak Menteri Besar in his speech said that as Menteri Besar he wanted to see the relationship with UPSI be always strengthened through cooperation in further elevating the field of education.

“I am very confident in the expertise of the experts from UPSI. UPSI developed the 3Rs module (Reading, Writing, Arithmetic) and collaborated with the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA) to implement the EmpowerNCER-Academic @ Perak which advances the education of Perak children, including Orang Asli children. Congratulations and thank you very much.

“I am also confident that UPSI graduates will continue to be needed by the Ministry of Education Malaysia to serve throughout the country in the various fields of learning.

“UPSI's contribution in helping the country to strengthen national education, including Perak, will continue to be engraved in the annals of history,” he added.
