IPOH, 17 August 2022 - Civil servants need to challenge themselves and reject all impossibilities and transform them into success via innovation, creativity and technology to make work processes more efficient and effective.

State Rural, Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development Committee Chairman Dato' Zainol Fadzi Paharuddin, representing Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, said this when officiating the Perak Civil Service Innovation Enculturation Programme 2022 at the State Secretariat Banquet Hall.

The programme themed "Enliven Innovation, Cultivating Infinity" comprises culture and synergy among individuals, families and communities that will lead the country towards unlimited progress and transformation.

According to the Perak Menteri Besar, the programme received very encouraging response when the various seminars and knowledge sharing activities conducted attracted 650 virtual participants while the competition was participated by more than 100 participants.

"The government has provided a number of competition platforms to unearth innovative talents among civil servants.

"Among the competitions are the Perak Public Service Innovation-Themed Competition 2022, Perak New Horizon KIK Competition 2022 and Perak Innovation Award Competition 2022.

"For the Perak Innovation Award Competition 2022, the much awaited main award category is the Menteri Besar Innovation Award, with the winner taking home RM20,000 in cash.

"Not only that, this year is special as for the first time we have the Green Earth Sustainability Innovation Award," he said

He added that, overall, the state government allocated RM172,000 for all the competition awards in 10 categories.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyuddin and State Health, Science, Environment and Green Technology Committee Chairman Mohd Akmal Kamarudin.
