SELINSING, 11 October 2022 - The Perak State Government MESRA Programme Meet the Clients Day Series 7/2022 for the first time was held in Kerian district to make it easier for the state government to reach out to the people.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said the government wanted to start a new step by choosing Selinsing, Kerian to give the public the opportunity to meet the state government leaders.

"The reception was very encouraging because even though we held it in ​​two parliamentary constituencies - Parit Buntar and Bagan Serai, many also came from Taiping, Parit and so on.

"This is in line with our concept, i.e., the people can deal directly with all the state government leaders," he said.

He said this in a press conference at Sekolah Kebangsaan Dato' Alaudin, Selinsing this morning.

He added that 66 complaints were received today, making the overall number of complaints in the series 939 and more than 70% of them had been resolved and further action taken.

"The programme involved a total of 112 government departments and agencies, including 82 customer service counters, 12 exhibition booths and four mobile service counters.

"The Perak State Entrepreneurs Secretariat (STeP) also joined in making the STeP Carnival a success by involving local entrepreneurs in this district," he elaborated.

At the same time, Dato' Seri Saarani also launched the Prosperous Perak Entrepreneur Grant (GeRAK) Programme at the event.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, Kerian District Officer Mohd Sabli Bakri and State Exco members.
