IPOH, 9 November 2023 - Former State Education, Higher Education and Natural Resources Committee Chairman Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud took his oath of office as the Perak Youth Assembly Speaker today.

State Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee Chairman Khairudin Abu Hanipah said he was confident in the selection of Ahmad Saidi Mohamad Daud with his experience as a former State Assemblyman and State Exco Member.

"I am quite confident and believe in his experience as a former state assemblyman and also a former State Exco Member. Definitely he is able to carry out the trust and responsibility given to him as best as possible with the assistance of two deputy speakers," he said.

Ahmad Saidi took his oath before Perak State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Dato' Abdul Khalid and State Assembly Secretary Muhammad Nazri Abdullah during the Oath-Taking Ceremony of the Perak Youth Assembly Committee 2023/2024 Session at the Media Conference Room, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

Also taking the oath of office were Mohd Adri Adha Mohamad, appointed as the Perak Youth Assembly Deputy Speaker I; Perak Youth Council President Muhammad Puhaz Salleh, appointed as Deputy Speaker II; while Wan Mohammad Afiq Wan Aris Fathillah was appointed as the Perak Youth Assembly Secretary.

Noor Azwan Mohd Taib was appointed as Assistant Secretary I and Darwisyah Izzati Amira Mohd Yunus appointed as Assistant Secretary II of the Perak Youth Assembly.

Khairudin added that the Perak Youth Assembly sitting will be held on 23 – 24 December 2023. The opening of the Assembly will be officiated by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.
