The Fifth Meeting of the First Year of the 15th Perak State Assembly will be held from 1 December to 8 December.

IPOH, 28 November 2023 - The Fifth Meeting of the First Year of the 15th Perak State Assembly will be held from 1 December to 8 December.

State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid said, as usual, throughout the six-day sitting, the oral question session will be conducted for 60 minutes.

"For this meeting, the State Assembly has received two notifications of motions regarding the Bill (RUU) that will be submitted by the government,” he said.

He said this in a special press conference at the Media Conference Room in Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here.

"The first is the Supply Enactment Bill 2024 to be tabled by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.

"All State Assemblymen will be given the opportunity to participate in the debate.

"The debate session for government supporters and the opposition leader is 40 minutes each. While for the other Assemblymen it is 20 minutes each,” he added.

Also present were Deputy State Assembly Speaker Jenny Choy Tsi Jen and State Assembly Secretary Muhammad Nazri Abdullah.

Dato' Mohammad Zahir said for the second bill, the Enactment of Perak Muslim Wills 2023 will also be tabled by the Perak Menteri Besar.

"A total of six Assemblymen will be involved in the debate session of the bill.

"The debate session is scheduled for the Second Sitting on 4 December 2023," he elaborated.

The State Assembly also welcomes any party who wishes to attend the sitting directly. Applications can be sent to the Perak State Secretariat State Assembly and Exco Division. Observer passes will be given to facilitate matters throughout the State Assembly sitting.
