HRH the Sultan of Perak arriving at Masjid Sultan Azlan Shah for the Aidiladha prayers.

IPOH, 17 June 2024 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah performed the Aidiladha prayers at Masjid Sultan Azlan Shah here.

Accompanying the Sultan were HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa and HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, HH Raja Kecil Sulung Perak Raja Dato' Seri Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Raja Ashman Shah, HH Raja Kecil Tengah Perak Raja Dato' Seri Iskandar Raja Ziran, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Rtd), State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohd Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin and State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin.

Also in attendance were Perak Mufti Dato' Seri Wan Zahidi Wan Teh, Kinta Territorial Chief Dato' Ab Wahab Azizul Hassan, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini and heads of departments and agencies.

Main imam Syed Mohd Muzzaffar Syed Azlan, who led the prayers, also delivered a sermon titled "Pengorbanan Memupuk Sifat Ihsan".

The sermon, among other things, called on Muslims who are able to perform the animal sacrificial rites to share the divine gift of sustenance by distributing a portion of it to the poor and needy, as not everyone is capable.

In addition, the sermon also reminded the ummah not to forget our fellow believers in Palestine, who are currently being oppressed and need the sacrifices of Muslims around the world to help them escape from torment and suffering.

After the Aidiladha prayers, His Royal Highness proceeded to the Hari Raya Aidiladha Celebration at Dewan Tan Sri Ghazali Jawi, Sekolah Menengah Izzudin Shah near here.

His Royal Highness was accompanied by HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim.

Also gracing the celebration were HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nazhatul Shima Sultan Idris Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah and HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim.
