KUALA KANGSAR, 25 June 2024 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Kuala Kangsar Health Clinic Opening Ceremony at the health clinic grounds.

Accompanying the Sultan were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Perak Raja Nazhatul Shima Idris Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Idris Shah and HH Raja Kecil Tengah Perak Raja Dato' Seri Iskandar Raja Ziran.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. Dato' Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin (Rtd) and wife Toh Puan Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Hajah Rasiah Mohd. Nor, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid and wife Datin Aznee Abu Samah, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, Human Resources, Health and Indian Community Affairs Committee chairman Sivanesan A/L Achalingam, State Exco Members, Kuala Kangsar Member of Parliament Datuk Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid and Perak Health Department Director Dr. Feisul Idzwan Mustapha.

Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad in his speech said the clinic building was built under the 11th Malaysia Plan at a cost of RM20.75 million.

"This clinic covers the sub-districts of Kota Lama Kiri, Kota Lama Kanan, Sayong and Senggang with an estimated population of 60,000 people. It provides outpatient and emergency services, counselling by psychology officers, medical laboratories, pharmacy, X-ray and rehabilitation services.

"Other than that, the main ones are maternal and child health care services, health screening including PeKa B40 Health screening and the National Health Screening Initiative (NHSI), as well as School Health Teams and Domiciliary Care Teams," he said.
