IPOH, 12 August 2024 – Auditor-General Datuk Wan Suraya Wan Mohd Radzi and State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim chaired the Closing Meeting of the State Government Financial Statements Audit for the Year Ending 31 December 2023 at the State Operations Room, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

A total of 76 people attended the meeting, including State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, Financial Audit III Director Mohd Fisul Ismail, Perak Land and Mines Director Dato' Mohamad Fariz Mohamad Hanip, Perak Public Works Department Director Ir. Suhaizad Sulaiman and district officers from throughout Perak.

The meeting aimed to obtain the recognition of the Auditor-General's certificate on the Perak State Government Financial Statements for the Year Ending 31 December 2023 through an audit for the Year Ending 31 December 2023.

The financial statements include the Perak State Government Statement of Financial Position as at 31 December 2023 and Statement of Cash Receipts and Payments, Financial Performance Statement and Memorandum Statement of Accounts for the year ending on that date and notes to the financial statements, including a summary of significant accounting policies.

These financial statements provide a true and fair view of the Perak State Government’s financial position on 31 December 2023 and its financial performance and cash flow for the year ending on that date in accordance with the Financial Procedures Act 1957, Malaysian Government Accounting Standards and the International Public Sector Accounting Standard (Financial Reporting under the Cash Basis of Accounting).
