HRH Sultan of Perak receiving business zakat from five Corporate companies.

KUALA KANGSAR, 15 March 2025 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced a Breaking Fast Event With The Media, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Corporations, Private Sectors, Government-Linked Companies (GLCs) and Youths at Istana Iskandariah here last night.

Accompanying the Sultan was HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, HH Raja Kecil Sulong Perak Raja Dato' Seri Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah Raja Ashman Shah, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen. (Rtd) Dato' Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin and wife Toh Puan Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Hajah Rasiah Md. Nor, Communications Minister Datuk Ahmad Fahmi Mohamed Fadzil, and State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad.

State Executive Council Members, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini, State Chieftains, and heads of federal and state departments were also in attendance.

Earlier, His Royal Highness received business zakat totalling RM3,250,676 from five corporate companies.

The handover was led by Boustead Plantation Sdn. Bhd., represented by its Chief Financial Officer Nina Wirasatria Md Husni, with RM250,676, followed by the payment of individual income zakat by Dato' Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal with RM2.4 million.

Next was Empayar Indera Sdn. Bhd., represented by its General Manager Datuk Hasrin Abdul Rahman; Perbadanan Asset Keretapi, represented by its Chief Executive Officer Dato' Azhar Ahmad; and Public Islamic Bank Berhad, represented by its Chief Executive Officer Syamsul Azuan Ahmad Fauzi, each contributing zakat of RM200,000.

After the ceremony, Sultan Nazrin also performed the Maghrib, Isyak and Tarawih prayers with the guests and then joined the congregation for dinner.
