IPOH, 9 June 2025 – State Secretary (SS) Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim today received a courtesy visit from Peninsular Malaysia Forestry Department (JPSM) Director-General Dato’ Zahari Ibrahim at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan.

Also present during the visit were Perak Forestry Director Dato’ Mohd Basri Abdul Manaf, JPSM Management Services Division (BKP) Director Rashidah Sharif, JPSM BKP Human Resource Officer Hamidah Muhamad, and Izaidah Talib, Special Officer to the JPSM Director-General.

The purpose of the courtesy visit was to strengthen cooperative relationship between the Peninsular Malaysia Forestry Department and the Perak state administration, particularly in enhancing governance of the forestry sector in the state.

Various matters were discussed during the meeting, including the strategic direction of state forest management, the empowerment of human resources in the forestry sector, and the state's role in supporting the sustainability and green development agendas.

The Perak State Government remains committed to continuously supporting efforts towards more sustainable and resilient forest management for the benefit of future generations.
