IPOH, 12 September 2025 – A total of 19 officers from the Kinta District and Land Office (PDT Kinta) received the 2024 Excellent Service Award (APC) in an appreciation ceremony at Galasa Caldwell here.

The ceremony was officiated by Deputy State Secretary Dato’ Nor Sham Rahman (Management), representing State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

Among them, 11 recipients were from PDT Kinta, Batu Gajah, while the remaining eight were from PDT Kinta, Ipoh.

The ceremony also honoured seven retirees who will be retiring in 2025, as a gesture of appreciation for their contributions throughout their service.

In her speech, Dato’ Nor Sham Rahman said that the APC award is a symbol of the government's appreciation for the trust, integrity and excellent performance of civil servants. She said that the success is not only the result of the recipients' hard work but also the support of family members who understand their duties and sacrifices, providing endless moral encouragement.

"Every recognition is born from the prayers, encouragement and sacrifices of family members who are always behind the recipients. Therefore, this appreciation should be shared with them," she said.

She also stressed that the APC award should not be used as a yardstick for the perfection of daily duties, as there is always room for improvement to enhance the quality of service delivery to the people.

Dato’ Nor Sham Rahman also reminded that departmental excellence cannot be achieved without a strong spirit of teamwork among leadership, officers and staff. She stated that without close cooperation, no matter how great the plans are made, they will not be successfully implemented.

The event was also enlivened by the launch of Digital Buletin@Kinta, an official dissemination platform focusing on programmes and activities around the Kinta district.

As the largest district in Perak, this digital initiative is believed to be able to expand access to information for the local community, thus promoting various development, social and community programmes.

The Digital Bulletin@Kinta can be accessed via the official portal of the Kinta District and Land Office and is expected to become a more interactive communication medium in line with the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030.

The event was also attended by Kinta District Officer Zulhisham Ahmad Shukori, Chief Assistant District Officer Laila Mazwin Zakaria, Chief Assistant District Officer (Land) Noor Aniza Mansor, Chief Assistant District Officer (Development) Siti Ruhaya Ismail, as well as sub-district chiefs.
