Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad delivering his speech at the event

SUNGAI SIPUT, 28 September 2025 — Perak AgroFest 2025, which concluded tonight, recorded great success with over 250,000 visitors by noon today and is expected to reach 400,000 tonight.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said that total sales had reached RM2.5 million by noon today, and he was confident of achieving the RM4 million target by tonight, due to the large number of visitors who still flocked to attend and the availability of cheap sales on the final night.

"I was informed that as of 12.00 noon today, the number of visitors had reached 250,000 and we believe that by tonight it will reach 400,000 as targeted. In terms of sales, a projection of RM4 million has been set and the figure of RM2.5 million has already been achieved.

"With the continuous attendance of visitors today and cheap sales on the final night, I am confident that the target will be achieved, God willing," he said at a press conference after officiating the Closing Ceremony of Perak Agrofest 2025 at Ladang Infoternak Sungai Siput.

Commenting further, Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad described this year's event as very commendable. He said that in terms of organisation, promotion and public response including young people, it demonstrated the success of this year's festival.

"As a result of the cooperation of all parties, I am personally excited to see people coming in droves. In fact, there have been requests for it to be held annually, but we will continue to organise it alternately with the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA). After MAHA, in 2027, we will return here again," he said.

Also present were the Perak Menteri Besar’s wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, State Rural Development, Plantations, Agriculture and Food Industry Committee Chairman Dato’ Mohd Zolkafly Harun and wife Datuk Zaiton Abd Rahman, Kuala Kangsar District Officer Azrul Sani Ibrahim and State Economic Planning Unit (UPEN) Deputy Director (Sectoral 1) Kumaresan A/L Lingam.
