HRH Sultan of Perak gracing the Yassin Reading ceremony.

IPOH, 6 NOVEMBER 2020 - HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced a Yassin Reading and Doa Selamat Ceremony in conjunction with his 64th Birthday at the Sultan Idris Shah II Mosque today.

Also gracing the ceremony was HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Sultan Idris Shah.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, state Exco members, elected representatives and department heads were also present.

The ceremony which started at about 12.30pm was led by Deputy Perak Mufti Dato’ Zamri Hashim.

After the Yassin Reading and Doa Selamat, the ceremony continued with Friday prayers, preceded by a special sermon in conjunction with HRH Sultan of Perak’s Birthday celebration entitled Mentaati Raja Tonggak Kesejahteraan Negara delivered by State Mosque Chief Imam Abd Farid Salleh

After the Friday prayers, the congregation performed special prayers to seek Allah’s protection against the COVID-19 outbreak and be given wellbeing and security.

The Yassin Reading and Doa Selamat Ceremony was an annual event in conjunction with HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah’s Birthday, which was decided on the first Friday of November and held simultaneously in mosques throughout Perak.
