Exchange of MoU between PASAK and STeP by PASAK Chairman Misbahul Munir.

IPOH, 18 November 2020 - The Perak State Government has introduced the ‘Telco Business Partner or Telcopreneur Perak’ initiative under the Perak Children’s Aspiration Centre (PASAK) and Perak Entrepreneur Secretariat (STeP) in collaboration with telco company redONE Network Sdn Bhd.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu said the initiative was open to all Perakians, benefiting 500 selected entrepreneurs and individuals in the state who would generate income opportunities continuously for the youth, the unemployed and individuals who wish to increase their income, as well as Small and Medium Industry (SMI) entrepreneurs affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In collaboration with redONE Network Sdn Bhd, RM1.5 million was allocated for the programme, including incentives for 'Business Partners' and 'Sales Advisers' who are able to generate an average additional income of RM3,000 and RM1,500 per month for entrepreneurs and sales advisers.

"For the 'Business Partner' incentive, redONE company offers incentives amounting to RM2,500 with RM500 start-up cost, while for 'Sales Adviser' incentive it offers incentives of RM580 with RM100 start-up cost which will be returned to the applicant's E-wallet," he said at the Exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Ceremony between PASAK, STeP and redONE at Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan here today.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Rural Development, Entrepreneur Development, Cooperatives and Consumer Affairs Committee Chairman Dato’ Saarani Mohamad, State Education, Human Capital Development, NGOs and Civil Society Committee Chairman Razman Zakaria, State Housing, Local Government and Tourism Committee Chairman Dato' Nolee Ashilin Mohd Radzi and Perak Children's Aspiration Centre (PASAK) Chairman Misbahul Munir Masduki.

Meanwhile, the initiative will be disseminated throughout Perak through the State Assemblyman’s Office, Local Authorities, Penghulus and Village Heads.

Applications can be made online from 19 November 2020 until the end of December 2020.
