Perak State Budget 2021 Passed: 18 December 2020

IPOH, 18 December 2020 - The Perak State Legislative Assembly today unanimously passed the 2021 State Budget totalling RM1.215 billion.

The motion approved under the Supply Enactment Bill 2021 and the Development Fund 2021 motion received the unanimous support of all 59 State Assemblymen.

Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad today made the final winding up of the Perak Budget 2021 debate before it was passed.

Earlier, Perak State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid instructed all assemblymen who supported the budget to express their agreement.

The 59 ADUNs then agreed unanimously without amendment to the budget.

Subsequently, Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid then announced that the Perak Budget 2021 was approved for the second and third reading.

In the same development, the tabling of the Perak State Budget 2021, which was tabled last Wednesday, saw an increase in allocation for the 2021 Budget to RM1.215 billion compared to RM1.098 billion the previous year.

Of that amount, RM785.1 million is allocated for estimated operating expenditure while another RM430 million is provided for development expenditure.
