The State Secretary giving a briefing on the Vaccination Centre to HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah and the Menteri Besar.

IPOH, 23 February 2021- HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah visited the Vaccination Centre at Indera Mulia Stadium here to see the readiness of equipment and facilities at the centre.

Accompanying the Sultan were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad and State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

The visit shows His Royal Highness’s deep concern for the well-being of the people and he always follows the development of the programme at the Vaccination Centre which is scheduled to start on 1March 2021.

Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani said a total of 34,743 frontliners in the state comprising healthcare, defence and essential services personnel will receive the vaccine injections for the first phase of the programme implementation.

“The vaccination programme implementation involves various state and federal agencies comprising the Perak State Secretariat, State Health Department, Perak National Security Council, Malaysian Civil Defence Force, Royal Malaysian Police, People’s Volunteer Corps, Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department, Malaysian Armed Forces, Kinta District and Land Office and Ipoh City Council.

"The public can get more information on the COVID-19 National Immunisation Programme via the COVID-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV) website at www.vaksincovid.gov.my,” he said.

Also present were State Legal Adviser Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato’ Zulazlan Abu Hassan, State Health, Science, Environment and Green Technology Committee Chairman Mohd Akmal Kamarudin, MAIPk President Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini and State Health Director Dato’ Dr Ding Lay Ming.
