192 Recipients Of State Honours, Awards And Medals 2021.

Press conference on the 65th Birthday Celebration of HRH Sultan of Perak.

IPOH, 4 November 2021 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Saarani Mohamad heads the list of 192 recipients of State Awards and Medals in conjunction with HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah’s Birthday Celebration this year.

Dato' Saarani received the Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP) which carries the title Dato' Seri, followed by State Legal Adviser Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin who received the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (DPCM) which carries the title Dato'.

This was announced by Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen (Rtd) Dato' Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin in a special conference at Laman Seri Ridzuan.

Also present was State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim.

Meanwhile, Deputy State Secretary (Management) Nor Sham Rahman and State Head of Protocol and Ceremonies Toh Jana Pahlawan SAC (Rtd) Abu Bakar Romlee were among the 13 recipients of the Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (DPMP) which carries the title Dato'.

Besides that, four recipients were awarded the Darjah Panglima Taming Sari (DPTS) which carries the title Dato' Pahlawan.

At the same time, nine recipients received the Darjah Paduka Cura Si Manja Kini (PCM), 23 received the Darjah Paduka Mahkota Perak (PMP), eight received the Darjah Ahli Cura Si Manja Kini (ACM) and 44 received the Darjah Ahli Mahkota Perak (AMP).

Also, 47 recipients received the Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (PPT), 33 received the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) and nine received the Pingat Lama Perkhidmatan (PLP). 

According to Tan Sri Mohd Zahidi, the Investiture Ceremony involving the conferment of the titles Dato’ Seri, Dato' Seri Panglima, Dato' and Dato' Pahlawan will be held on 14 November 2021 (Sunday) at Balairong Seri, Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar. This series will involve 19 recipients in 2020 and 19 recipients in 2021. 

The ceremony for the following series would be organised according to the date approved by HRH Sultan of Perak, and subject to the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state at the time. 

He told reporters the awards this year focussed more on the frontliners who have sacrificed their time and energy to fight and curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in Perak. 

“It is hoped that this award will boost the spirit and morale of the frontliners in their efforts to ensure the safety of the people of Perak from the COVID-19 infection,” he said. 

The birthday celebration will begin with a Thanksgiving Ceremony at Masjid Ubudiah, Kuala Kangsar during Friday Prayers on 5 November 2021. The same ceremony will be held at all district mosques throughout Perak and led by the Territorial Chiefs and District Officers. 

He also called on the people of Perak to celebrate and enliven HRH the Sultan of Perak’s Birthday Celebration by flying the state flag at their respective offices, business premises and homes.
