The best qari winner reciting the Al-Quran holy verses.

IPOH, 23 March 2022 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Perak State Level Al-Quran Recitation and Memorisation Closing Ceremony 14443H/2022M, held for three days from last Monday at the Casuarina Convention Centre in Meru here tonight.

Also gracing the ceremony were HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Muda Perak Raja Jaafar Almarhum Raja Muda Musa, HH Raja Puan Besar Raja Nazhatul Shima Almarhum Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah, HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Almarhum Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah and HH Raja Puan Muda Perak Tunku Soraya Abdul Halim Shah.

Also accompanying His Royal Highness were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Dato' Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini and Perak Islamic Religious Department Director Dato' Mohd Yusop Husin.

At the ceremony, HRH Sultan Nazrin Shah presented the prizes to the state qari and qariah champions, Aiman ​​Ridhwan Mohamad Ramlan and Nurul Syafiqah Nardi.

They each took home cash RM10,000, a plaque, a certificate, gifts and a haj package worth RM10,000.

The qari runner-up was Mohamad Sahran Termizi and Mohd Kamaruzaman Daud in third place, while the qariah runner-up was Munirah Razali and Norhazira Nabila Mohamed Kamel in third place.

The runners-up and third places each received RM7,000 and RM5,000 cash respectively, a plaque and a certificate.

For the memorisation category (1-30 Juzuk), Amril Syariff Ahmad emerged as the qari champion while Adibah Husni Ahmad Rozaini was the qariah champion.

All the winners of the recitation and memorisation competition will represent Perak at the National Level Recitation and Memorisation Competition, scheduled to be held in Johor in June.
