HRH Sultan of Perak presenting Hari Raya aid to the Perak Tengah District penghulu’s representative.

IPOH, 18 April 2022 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Perak Nuzul Al-Quran Celebration 2022 at the Sultan Azlan Shah Mosque here last night.

Accompanying the Sultan was HH Raja DiHilir Perak Raja Iskandar Dzurkarnain Almarhum Sultan Idris A’fifullah Shah.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Financial Officer Dato’ Zulazlan Abu Hassan, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Dato’ Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini, Perak Islamic Religious Department Director Dato' Mohd Yusop Husin and State Exco members.

The ceremony began with a tazkirah, recitation of the holy verses of the Quran, tahlil and doa selamat, followed by the breaking of fast prayer by more than 300 congregants before performing the congregational Maghrib prayers.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness presented Hari Raya aid from the MAIPk zakat fund of RM8,335,500 to 33,342 poor and needy asnaf in Perak. The aid was delivered through the District Mukim Heads, i.e.12 districts.

Hari Raya aid was also given to 3,412 asnaf converts amounting to RM853,000.

The Sultan also presented appointment letters to new MAIPk members Toh Maharaja Indera Khairil Anuar Arshad and Perak State Parks Corporation Director Mohamed Shah Redza Hussein.

He then performed the congregational Isya and Tarawih prayers before leaving.
