State Government Distributes 13,000 Raya Food Boxes In Appreciation Of Personnel On Duty During Aidilfitri

The Perak Menteri Besar presenting food boxes to representatives of uniformed bodies.
IPOH, 20 April 2022 - The state government continued the tradition of distributing raya goodies totalling 13,000 raya food boxes to 18 security forces and uniformed bodies in conjunction with the arrival of Syawal this year.
The handover ceremony at the State Secretariat Banquet Hall was officiated by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad.
He expressed his appreciation for the services and sacrifices of all personnel on the front lines regardless of time, including when the country was facing the threat of COVID-19.
“This contribution is so that those on duty during Hari Raya do not feel too sad. They can also taste kuih raya, ketupat and rendang just like other people during the festival,” he said.
Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato’ Zulazlan Abu Hassan, State Exco members and Perak Police Chief Dato' Pahlawan Mior Faridalatrash Wahid.
The distribution of the food boxes involved a team of uniformed bodies, including the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Kamunting Correctional Centre, Tapah Prison, Batu Gajah Moral Rehabilitation Centre, Royal Malaysian Customs Department, Immigration Department, PGA 69 Commando, Royal Malaysian Air Force, Marine Police Force, State Prison Director's Office, Malaysian Border Security Agency and PULAPEN.
Earlier, the packaging work was performed by the Menteri Besar’s wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin and assisted by 304 staff comprising personnel from the Perak State Secretariat, BAIDURI, PUSPANITA, BAKAT (Laut), BAKAT (Darat), BAKAT (Udara), PERKEP Perak IPK Contingent, PERKEP Perak North Brigade, Persatuan Wanita Prihatin, PERISMA, 2nd Brigade Team and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency.
The items in the food boxes were rendang tok, serunding, peanut gravy, ketupat nasi and coffee.
