Perak Herb Garden Recognised By Malaysia Book Of Records.

GOPENG, 31 May 2022 – The Perak Herb Garden has been recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records as the Largest Herb Garden with Various Types of Herbal Plants. The Herb Garden with more than 527 species of herbal plants covers an area of ​​22 hectares.

The presentation of certificate from Malaysia Book of Records to Treasure Leisure Sdn Bhd was witnessed by Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad at The Treasure @ Gopeng Herb Garden during the Perak SADC Agrofest 2022.

There was also an Exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Perak State Agriculture Development Corporation (PPPNP) and the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute (MARDI).

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Zulazlan Abu Hassan, State Exco members; PPPNP Chief Executive Officer Yahanis Yahya and The Treasure @ Gopeng Herb Garden Managing Director Eidia Erriany Abdul Rahim.

Meanwhile, Dato' Seri Saarani said PPPNP is planning to establish a Private Equity Management Company (PEMC) which aims to manage investments and projects related to food security and agrotourism.

"Through this PEMC, PPPNP has the potential to attract corporate investors in high impact projects that can give the best return to the state," he explained.
