Dato' Mohammad Zahir Dato' Abdul Khalid handing over the Notice of Dissolution of the Perak State Assembly to Mohd Nazri Ismail.

IPOH, 18 October 2022 - Perak State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Dato' Abdul Khalid handed over the Notice of Dissolution of the Perak State Assembly to the State Election Office Director Mohd Nazri Ismail at the Perak State Assembly Speaker’s office, Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan this morning.

Earlier, the states that had announced the dissolution of the State Legislature were Perak, Perlis and Pahang.

Meanwhile, the state assemblies of Malacca, Johor, Sabah and Sarawak will not be dissolved as they had just gone through State Elections and have not yet completed their full terms.

The state legislative assemblies of Penang, Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Kedah and Terengganu will not be dissolved this year.
