IPOH, 30 March 2023 - A total of 8,000 containers of bubur lambuk were distributed to the public in conjunction with the Bubur Lambuk Gotong Royong Cooking Programme, Perdana Forum and Breaking Fast Ceremony with Orphans and Perak Media.

Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad was present to hand out the bubur lambuk around the Jalan Ashby Flats area this afternoon.

"The programme, organised by the Perak State Government in collaboration with government-linked companies (GLCs) and Perak Malaysian Scout Association, started with the cooking of bubur lambuk since early morning.

"Alhamdulillah, we are able to deliver the bubur lambuk to the people around here, including the children of Sekolah Rendah Agama Al-Islah Addiniah.

"Next, we will hold a perdana forum session and handing out of duit raya to orphans followed by a breaking fast ceremony, and Maghrib, Isya' and Tarawih prayers at Laman Seri Ridzuan," he said.

Also present were State Agricultural Development Corporation Group Manager Yahanis Yahya, MB Inc Chief Executive Officer Anuar Zainal Abidin and State Scout Commissioner Azam Abdul Majid.

The bubur lambuk was also distributed around Taman Cempaka, Seri Kinta Flats, TF Falim Supermarket, Indera Mulia Stadium and Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.

For the perdana forum session at 5.00 pm at Laman Seri Ridzuan, Perak Islamic Religious Department Director Harith Fadzilah Abdul Halim was the moderator.

The speakers were Ustaz Hanafiah Malek, Ustaz Kazim Elias and Ustaz Ijam Medicine.

The event ended with a breaking of fast and congregational Maghrib, Isya' and Tarawih prayers.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin and State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin.
