HRH Sultan of Perak handing over business zakat to Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd. Annuar Zaini, representing the Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council.

KUALA KANGSAR, 1 April 2023 – HRH Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Muizzudin Shah consented to receive business zakat from five corporations totalling RM1,644,556.00.

The handover session was led by Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad (BIMB), represented by its Chairman Tan Sri Dr. Ismail Bakar with a total business zakat of RM520,000.00.

This was followed by Celcom Digi Berhad, represented by its head of Government Affairs Roslan Rosli with RM419,454.00.

Meanwhile, Telekom Malaysia Berhad, represented by its General Manager Badrul Hisham Bahari handed over business zakat totalling RM309,855.00.

Also paying zakat was Boustead Plantations Berhad, represented by its director Izaddeen Daud with RM295,247.00.

The last was GB13 Group Sdn Bhd, represented by its Chief Executive Officer Balakumarr Karupiah with RM100,000.00.

The handover of business zakat was conducted in conjunction with the Breaking Fast Ceremony with the Media, NGOs, Corporate and Private Sectors, Government Linked-Companies (GLCs) and Youths at Istana Iskandariah here.

Also gracing the event were HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, HH Raja Kecil Besar Raja Dato' Seri Azlan Muzzaffar Shah and Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja, Jeneral Dato’ Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin (Bersara).

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubir, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd. Annuar Zaini and Kuala Kangsar Territorial Chief Orang Kaya Temenggong Paduka Raja Dato’ Seri Wan Mohd. Fathir @ Wan Fadzir Wan Hussain.
