More than 300 people attended the World #QuranHour programme, a collaboration between the Perak Mufti Department and the Perak State Secretariat.

IPOH, 13 April 2023 - More than 300 people attended the World #QuranHour programme as a result of the collaboration between the Perak Mufti Department and the Perak State Secretariat.

According to Deputy State Mufti Dato' Zambri Hashim, high-ranking civil servants need not be proud of their position.

"Human beings came from nothing; if we are of ordinary rank, we can compete with high-ranking people in the afterlife. If we are high-ranking, don't be arrogant.

"Ranking is our test in this world and how we face that test will place us in heaven later on," he elaborated.

He said this when commenting on the selection of surah Al-Insan verses 1 to 31 in conjunction with the World #QuranHour programme themed 'The Kind and Compassionate World' held at the Perak State Secretariat Banquet Hall.

He added that this programme will continue in the coming years on a larger scale as the intention is to cultivate the reading and studying of the verses of the Al-Quran at all levels of society in the state.

Also present were State Syariah Main Court Chief Judge Dato' Ab. Rahman Thobroni Mohd Mansor and Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato' Norsham Rahman.
