SUNGAI PETANI, 17 June 2023 - The ePenghulu system was selected to participate in the exhibition at the People's Development and Well-Being Convention 'Pembangunan MADANI, Rakyat Disantuni’ from 16 - 17 June 2023 at Dewan Perdana, UiTM Cawangan Kedah.

The People's Development and Well-Being Convention Closing Ceremony was officiated by Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim this afternoon.

The convention aimed to provide a platform to translate MADANI aspirations in the context of development and people's well-being, discuss governance from the angle of regulations and best practices in realising the national socio-development agenda, besides strengthening synergy between the federal, state and district, including local authorities in coordinating and managing the people's development agenda, especially addressing poverty.

There were 700 participants, i.e., senior ministry officials, State Secretaries and Federal Secretaries of Sabah and Sarawak, Deputy State Secretaries (Development), Federal Land and Mines Director-General Department senior officials and district officers from the state.

Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the government will empower the district office administration nationwide to ensure that development projects are implemented efficiently and effectively for the people’s well-being.

He added that although the government today prioritises big projects and faces the challenge of global change in terms of digital technology and the economy, efforts to ensure the people’s well-being will not be neglected.

As the Minister of Finance, he also announced a special allocation of RM100,000 for the use of each district office.

At the event, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim officiated the National MyProjek System Launch, Presentation of Certificates of Appreciation to the Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU) Strategic Partners, and received the Convention Resolution Submission.

Before concluding the event, he took the time to visit the exhibition with Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd Zuki Ali.

Also present were Youth and Sports Deputy Minister Adam Adli Abd Halim, Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato' Norsham Rahman, Penghulu Mukim Kinta Ipoh Dr. Mohd Sani Kamaruddin and Perak district officers.

Earlier, the ePenghulu system received the Chief Minister's Innovation Award (AIMB) of RM50,000 and the Information and Communications Technology Innovation Award (AIICT) of RM5,000 in conjunction with the Perak State Level Innovation Day Celebration 2022.
