The congregants performing the Maghrib and Isyak prayers before the ceremony ended with a dinner reception.

IPOH, 18 July 2023 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad officiated the Perak State Eve of Ma'al Hijrah 1445H/2023M Ceremony at Masjid Sultan Idris Shah II here.

The ceremony at about 7.00pm began with the recitation of Surah Yassin and tahlil led by Masjid Sultan Idris Shah II Imam Abd Farid Salleh, the recitation of the al-Quran and translation followed by the doa for the beginning and end of the year, and the Maghrib prayer.

After the Maghrib prayer, the ceremony continued with the Tazkirah Khas Ma'al Hijrah entitled ‘Penghijrahan Minda, Penghijrahan Budaya’ by Muslim Welfare Organisation Malaysia (PERKIM) Vice President Muhammad Fitri Abdullah.

After that, Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad and the other congregants performed the Isyak prayer before the ceremony ended with a dinner reception.

Also present at the event were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, Perak Mufti Dato' Wan Zahidi Wan, State Syariah Main Court Chief Syarie Judge Dato' Ab. Rahman Thobroni Mohd Mansor, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato' Seri Mohd. Annuar Zaini, Kinta Territorial Chief Toh Muda Dato’ Ab Wahab Azizul Hassan, Perak Islamic Religious Department Director Harith Fadzilah Abd Halim and State Exco Members.
