SERI ISKANDAR, 10 August 2023 - Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato' Nor Sham Rahman officiated the Selection of Diploma and Degree Final Works Exhibition (SEPAKADD) 7.0.

The annual exhibition, held at the end of each semester for Diploma and Degree students in each Department of the College of Creative Arts at UiTM Perak Branch, comprised the Ceramics Department, Fashion Design Department, Fine Arts Department, Graphic & Digital Media Department and Creative Photography & Imaging Department.

Dato' Nor Sham Rahman said today more art graduates have been produced from public and private educational institutions consisting of various fields, focussing either on fine art or design art.

"These people have met the requirements in careers related to the national art industry, covering various disciplines and scope of work. Therefore, they need to prepare themselves to face the reality of working life out there.

"Among the preparations needed to be emphasised by prospective graduates is equipping themselves with knowledge related to the field they are engaged in is very important to ensure they remain relevant," she said.

She said this in her speech at the opening of SEPAKADD 7.0 at the Al-Biruni Gallery, UiTM Perak Branch here.

Also present were UiTM Perak Branch Rector Associate Prof. Dr. Nur Hisham Ibrahim, Perak Tengah District Officer Mohd Zaki Abdul Rahman, Deputy Chancellor of Academic Affairs Associate Prof. Technologist Dr. Norhayati Baharun and Perak Tengah District Council President Mohd Syukri Azaari.

At the event, Dato' Nor Sham presented the Department's Best Student Award to students with the best achievements and commitment throughout their studies.
