Three New Agendas Added, Perak Sejahtera Plan 2030 On The Right Track.

MANJUNG, 10 June 2024 - The Perak State Government has announced the addition of three new agendas in the Perak Sejahtera Plan 2030, i.e., Social Development, Environmental and Biodiversity Sustainability, and Empowerment of Local Authorities.
Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said these three additions make the Perak Sejahtera Plan 2023 dynamic and adaptable, and can be improved from time to time according to circumstances.
He said based on monitoring and evaluations conducted by various departments and implementing agencies, the plan is now on the right track in fulfilling all nine agendas set to achieve the three targets: Economic Prosperity, Social Wellbeing and Political Wellbeing.
"In these two years, the state government has strived to create political stability through people-oriented policies and good governance practices to attract investors' confidence.
"As a result, the state government is able to plan and implement high-impact projects, including the Lumut Maritime Industrial City (LuMIC), Perak Halal Industrial Park (Perak HIP), Silver Valley Technology Park (SVTP), Kerian Integrated Green Industrial Park (KIGIP) and Automotive High Technology Valley (AHTV)," he said.
He said this at a press conference after presenting the Second Year Progress Report of Perak Sejahtera 2030 at Dewan Merdeka, Manjung Municipal Council here.
Also present were State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohd Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, State Assemblymen, Territorial Chiefs, and heads of state and federal departments.
Saarani added that within two years of the plan’s implementation, various social welfare initiatives and programmes have shown progress, reflecting the state government's determination to bring positive change to the people.
"Entering the second year of the Perak Sejahtera 2030 implementation, the State Government is now more focused on implementing and monitoring the plan’s progress via two components: the Perak Sejahtera Key Performance Indicators and the Perak Wellbeing Index.
"The state government is also intensifying efforts to further empower Perak Sejahtera 2030 by boosting the economy and exploring new revenue sources, especially in the blue economy and care economy sectors," he said.Meanwhile, the Perak State Government has published a 287-page book, The Second Year Progress Report of Perak Sejahtera 2030, detailing 234 projects implemented through the strategic development.For the first time, the state government has also launched the Perak Sejahtera 2030 dashboard to monitor and evaluate the implementation status of each project and initiative outlined in the plan.
