IPOH, 26 February 2025 – Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad officiated the Agro MADANI Sale Programme @SUK Perak at the Perak State Secretariat Building compound to help the people get food products at more affordable prices.

The programme, managed by the Agriculture and Food Security Ministry (KPKM) via the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (FAMA), aims to increase availability and accessibility, making it easier for consumers to obtain fresh products.

In addition, it functions as a market space to balance prices if there is a surplus of agricultural products.

In a statement, FAMA said that throughout 2024, a total of 459 Agro MADANI Sale Programmes have been held at government premises, residential and highly populated areas with a sales value of RM10.9 million.

The programme involved 7,373 entrepreneurs and was estimated to have benefited 240,000 visitors with savings of up to 30% in daily necessities.

The essential goods offered include chicken, fish, meat, fruits, vegetables, controlled goods and daily necessities.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Rural Development, Plantation, Agriculture and Food Industry Committee Chairman Dato' Mohd Zolkafly Harun, State Communication, Multimedia and NGO Committee Chairman Mohd Azlan Helmi Helmi, FAMA Chairman Aminuddin Zulkipli, and heads of departments.
