PM Chairs Perak State Development Special Meeting.

The Prime Minister accompanied by the Perak Menteri Besar at the Perak State Development Special Meeting.

BAGAN SERAI, 14 March 2025 – Prime Minister Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim today chaired the Perak State Development Special Meeting.

The meeting reviewed various development initiatives, including projects to upgrade basic infrastructure such as roads, education, healthcare, environment, utilities, and tourism.

The main focus was on the Flood Mitigation Plan (RTB) in Sungai Trong and Pekan Kuala Sepetang, Larut, Matang and Selama District, as well as the construction of a New Health Clinic in Tanjung Malim, which needs to be expedited for the well-being of the people.

In the meeting, Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim also emphasised the importance of workforce planning in every state and ensuring close cooperation between the state government and Federal agencies to realise development projects effectively.

Therefore, the Federal Government will ensure that every project that benefits the people significantly, especially in rural areas, can be implemented smoothly and effectively.

Also present were Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad, Treasury Secretary-General Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican, State Assembly Speaker Dato' Mohammad Zahir Abdul Khalid, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Exco Members, Prime Minister's Department Implementation Coordination Unit (PMD ICU) Director-General Datuk Seri Sollehuddin Alyubi Zakaria, Perak ICU Director Dato' Shamshuzaman Sulaiman, and heads of state and federal departments.
