LUMUT, 28 July 2025 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the LEMBING SAKTI 2025 Exercise held at the Tanjung Hantu Shooting Range, Segari Melintang Forest Reserve here.

HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim also graced the event.

The exercise was also attended by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad and wife Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja Gen (Rtd) Dato’ Seri Diraja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin and wife Datin Seri Diraja Puan Sri Rasiah Mohd Noor.

Also present were State Secretary Dato’ Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim and wife Datin Che Fauziah Ahmad, and Army Chief General Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Muhammad Hafizuddeain Jantan.

The exercise began with a safety briefing session, followed by a live rocket firing demonstration.

The exercise involved the deployment of SS-30 and SS-40 missiles by the Rocket Artillery Brigade, alongside advanced weapon systems, such as the Artillery Saturation Rocket System (ASTROS), High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), Artillery Hunting Radar (ARTHUR), Unmanned Aircraft System (FLYEYE), and the participation of KD MAHAWANGSA.

It also witnessed strategic collaboration between the Malaysian Army, Royal Malaysian Navy, Royal Malaysian Air Force, Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency, Marine Police and various other public agencies.

Among the main objectives of the exercise was to test the combat readiness and effectiveness of the rocket artillery systems, as well as to enhance inter-agency cooperation in joint land-sea-air operations.

The exercise also served as a platform for exposure to the latest tactics and procedures in the use of HIMARS, alongside the implementation of Complete Round Proof by the 40th Royal Ordnance Corps Ammunition Engineering Command together with the Science and Technology Research Institute for Defence (STRIDE).

The LEMBING SAKTI 2025 exercise demonstrates the tactical capabilities and continued commitment of the Malaysian Armed Forces in strengthening combat readiness and national defence capacity.

This initiative also aligns with efforts to enhance regional defence cooperation network through the involvement of friendly nations in safeguarding strategic stability and security in the region.

According to a statement from the Malaysian Army, the presence of Their Royal Highnesses reflected the unwavering support of the royal institution for the nation’s defence preparedness.
