The book was the result of writing and photographic documentation by Dr. Adib Vincent Tung Abdullah, featuring more than one hundred images of bird species found in the RPGC area.

The publication also contains brief information on the habits, habitats and unique characteristics of each species recorded, making it an important visual reference for bird enthusiasts, researchers and the nature-loving community.

Also present were State Secretary Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin and State Education, Higher Education, Youth and Sports Committee Chairman Dato’ Khairudin Abu Hanipah, representing Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad.

Upon arrival, HH Raja DiHilir of Perak posed for photos with the author, distinguished guests and special invitees, before signing a replica of the book symbolising the launch.

According to Dr. Adib, the book was produced through a careful and continuous observation and documentation process with the birdwatchers community, making it a comprehensive reference resource.

He said that the Royal Perak Golf Club area is not only a venue for sports and recreational activities, but also a natural habitat for various local and migratory bird species, making it a biodiversity area that should be preserved.

“The presence of diverse bird species in this area reflects the ecological balance that must be preserved. Thus, this book is not just a collection of photographs, but an effort to raise public awareness about the importance of protecting the environment,” he said.

He also expressed his appreciation to HH Raja DiHilir of Perak for his continued support for environmental conservation efforts, as well as to the RPGC management for their cooperation throughout the preparation of the book.

Meanwhile, the book launch is seen as timely with the Perak State Government’s commitment to strengthening the environmental sustainability agenda, in line with the Perak Sejahtera 2030 aspiration which emphasises balancing development with the conservation of the state’s natural heritage and ecosystems.

The publication of “Birds at The Royal Perak Golf Club (Malaysia)” will also be a useful documentation resource for educational institutions and relevant parties in conducting wildlife studies and conservation programmes, especially in introducing the younger generation to the importance of preserving the environment.
