State Financial Management Literacy And Appreciation Ceremony 2026: 16 January 2026

IPOH, 16 JANUARY 2026 – The Perak State Government continues to be committed to strengthening financial governance by organising the State Financial Management Literacy and Appreciation Ceremony 2026 at the Jubilee Ballroom, Royal Perak Golf Club here.

The ceremony, officiated by State Financial Officer Dato’ Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, aimed to enhance the level of financial literacy among state departments and agencies, besides giving recognition to departments that showed excellent performance in financial management throughout 2025.

Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Development) Halizah Sipun, Deputy State Financial Officer Muhammad Nazri Abdullah, State Treasurer Noorakmar Hussin, Principal Assistant State Financial Officer (Budget) Haslina Tan Sali, heads of departments and representatives from state and federal departments.

At the ceremony, Certificates of Appreciation for ISPEKS Expenditure Component Inspection 2025 were presented to 17 departments and divisions that recorded the best achievements based on the level of compliance with the financial procedures in force. The inspection assessment covered eight main scopes of financial management, including document management and payment instructions, allocation warrants, procurement, payment processes, petty cash, allowance claims and salary payments.

Among the departments and offices that received the Certificates of Appreciation were the Perak Social Welfare Department, Perak Agriculture Department, District Welfare Offices of Batang Padang, Hilir Perak, Kinta, Perak Tengah and Kampar, Bagan Datuk Public Works Department and Islamic Religious Offices of Parit Buntar, Teluk Intan, Muallim, Tapah and Manjung.

In addition, in line with efforts to strengthen financial management compliance, the audit assessment criteria will be expanded starting this year to include revenue, assets and other components, while maintaining the existing expenditure component. A special category will also be introduced for District and Land Offices as an encouragement for comprehensive compliance at the grassroots level.

The ceremony then continued with a Briefing on Circulars No. 1 and 2 of 2026 and State Finance Office Guidelines No. 1 to 9 (GP–PKN 001 to 009), delivered by Muhammad Nazri Abdullah.

The organisation of this ceremony reflects the Perak State Government’s continued commitment to strengthening accountability, integrity and best practices in financial management in line with the aspirations of Perak Sejahtera 2030.
