His Royal Highness greeting congregants at the mosque

IPOH, 26 May 2026 – HRH Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah graced the Opening Ceremony of Masjid Al-Muhajirin, Kampung Ulu Chepor, Chemor here today.

His Royal Highness’ arrival was welcomed by Perak Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad and Orang Kaya Bendahara Seri Maharaja, General (Rtd) Dato’ Seri DiRaja Tan Sri (Dr.) Mohd. Zahidi Zainuddin.

Also present were State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato’ Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, Perak Islamic Religious Department (JAIPk) Director Dato' Harith Fadzilah Abd. Halim, Perak Islamic Religious and Malay Customs Council (MAIPk) President Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Annuar Zaini, Perak Royal Council Secretary Toh Amar Seri Diraja Dato' Seri Ayob Hashim, Deputy Perak Mufti Dato' Zamri Hashim, Kinta District Officer Zulhisham Ahmad Shukori and heads of state departments.

Upon arrival, His Royal Highness officiated the opening ceremony by unveiling the curtains of a commemorative plaque and signing the opening book.

After the opening, Sultan Nazrin joined the congregants in the Hari Raya Aidiladha Takbir recitation and performed Isyak prayers with more than 400 worshippers.

Masjid Al-Muhajirin was built in 2018 and fully operational in March 2025.

Built at a cost of RM6 million, the mosque can accommodate 1,200 worshippers.

The mosque also practises the concept of sustainability by planting various types of trees, including coconut, matoa, lemongrass and banana.
