KAMPAR, 12 June 2021- The Perak State Government will open another Vaccination Centre (PPV) in Kampar District at the Gopeng Kemas Health Centre with a turnout of more than 400 recipients a day.

State Housing, Local Government and Tourism Committee Chairman Dato' Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi said all preparations are being made to enable the drive-through PPV to be opened on 1 July.

“Also, a drive-through PPV will be opened at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in the near future.

"Currently, Kampar District already has a PPV at the Kampar Town Hall with a turnout of more than 500 people a day,” she said.

She said this after inspecting the Kampar District Covid-19 Vaccination Outreach Programme at the Sahom Community Hall here today.

Dato' Nolee Ashilin Mohammed Radzi, who is also the Tualang Sekah State Assemblyman, said she will also organize a vaccination programme specially for the Orang Asli community.

“In Kampar District alone, there are nearly 10 Orang Asli villages and most of them are in the Sahom area.

"So the focus on the community via the special programme will be held when they receive the appropriate vaccine,” she said.

During the programme, Dato' Nolee Ashilin took the opportunity to visit Kampung Pos Dipang to present food boxes to 5 representatives of the Orang Asli community from 5 different villages, namely Kampung Pos Dipang, Kampung Gapes, Kampung Sungai Limau, Kampung Batu 7 and Kampung Sungai Peria.
