IPOH, 13 October 2023 - Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato' Nor Sham Rahman officiated the Annual General Meeting of the Amalgamated Union of Employees in Government Clerical and Allied Services (AUEGCAS) Perak Branch at Dewan Serbaguna, Bangunan Sri Perak Darul Ridzuan this afternoon.

"Well done and congratulations to AUEGCAS Perak for the participation of more than 1,200 members. This is the highest number compared to the membership in other states.

"The Perak State Government is always committed to cooperating with any trade union, including AUEGCAS, so that the relationship and understanding between employees and employers is harmonious and good," she said.

She added that every civil servant is given the space and opportunity to participate in union activities, upon approval from the department head, as long as it does not affect the core work and importance of the service.

Also present were AUEGCAS Malaysia President Asman Mohd Nawawi, AUEGCAS Malaysia Secretary-General Amir Hamzah Yakat Ali, AUEGCAS Perak Secretary Hafizan Raluh@Ali and Trade Union Affairs Department Assistant Industrial Relations Officer Mohd Kamal Osman.
