Proactive Perak Government Strengthens Officers’ Skills Towards The Best Delivery System.

IPOH, 13 December 2023 - The Perak State Government always takes proactive steps to strengthen the skills and abilities of officers towards achieving a public service delivery system that is not only excellent but highly competitive.
Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato' Nor Sham Rahman said to ensure that this aspiration can be implemented, selected senior officers in the State Government administration were given training to equip themselves with knowledge and strengthen their skills in terms of leadership and governance, including the main duties of their respective departments.
"Thus, the Leading With Impact: Senior Leadership Programme For Land Administrators in Melbourne, Australia is one of the programmes organised for senior officers in the state administration.
"Among the programme’s objectives is to provide exposure and experience to officers so that they are progressive and set vision, direction and short and long-term strategies in managing their respective departments," she said in her closing speech at the Leading With Impact Follow-Up Session: Senior Leadership Programme For Land Administrators at the Royal Perak Golf Club (RPGC) here.
Also present were Deputy State Secretary (Development) Halizah Sipun, Kinta District Officer (DO) Meor Hezbullah Meor Abd Malik, Kerian DO Mohd Sabli Bakri, Kuala Kangsar DO Zulhisham Ahmad Shukori, Manjung DO Shamsul Ridzuan Idris, Hulu Perak DO Mohd Zairasyahli Shah Zakaria, Muallim DO Mohamad Fitri Hassan, Manjung Municipal Council President Syamsul Hazeman Md. Pious, Tanjong Malim District Council President Mohd Ikram Ahmad, Perak Housing and Property Board CEO Mohamed Akmal Dahalan, State Economic Planning Unit (Local Government) Senior Deputy Director Mufidah Mahfodz, Perak Land and Mines Office Principal Assistant Director Nor Azura Abdul Rahman and Leading With Impact: Senior Leadership Programme For Land Administrators Senior Programme Head Ismail Johari Othman.
Dato' Nor Sham added that hopefully, the involvement of officers in such overseas programmes would not only strengthen their skills in their respective fields. The officers must ensure the outcome of this programme can add value to the work process of officers and departments, especially involving land development, leadership and supervision, including incisive and integrated governance.
"Such a programme will certainly be able to improve an officer’s expertise according to current requirements and enable the officer to carry out his duties more effectively," she said.
Earlier, a mentoring session was also conducted by three invited panelists from the Razak School of Government (RSOG), namely Former Penang State Secretary Dato' Seri Farizan Darus, Former Defence Ministry Secretary- General Dato' Seri Halimi Abd Manaf and Former Public Works Ministry Secretary-General Dato' Seri Dr Syed Omar Sharifuddin Syed Ikhsan.
There were three series of the Leading With Impact: Senior Leadership Programme For Land Administrators In Melbourne, Australia where the Razak School of Government has been appointed as a training provider.
The first series or introductory session was held at RSOG, Cyberjaya on 6 September 2023, while the second, a learning experience session in Melbourne, Australia was held on 9 - 13 October, and the final third session, a follow-up session which was held today.
