Perak Economic Outlook 2024 Drives Economic Growth Next Year.

IPOH, 14 December 2023 - Welcoming the MADANI Economy framework: Empowering the People, the Perak State Government was quick to strategise by holding the Perak Economic Outlook 2024 to see the state’s focus for next year besides discussing opportunities and related issues.
Perak Menteri Besar Dato' Seri Saarani Mohamad said in addition to being a forum to discuss opportunities and relevant issues, the Perak Economic Outlook 2024 is a best practice approach in increasing economic growth thus making the implementation of Perak Sejahtera 2030 a success.
"The forum also welcomes the MADANI Economy framework: Empowering the People, which is seen as a pillar to face the current and long-term recession by restructuring the economy and raising the quality of life of the people.
"In general, Perak will certainly maintain its focus on the sectors that are the highest contributors to the state's GDP besides focusing on the investment, tourism and high-impact sectors that give value to the state," he said in his speech at the Perak Economic Outlook 2024 at the Perak State Secretariat Banquet Hall here.
Also present were Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, State Secretary Dato' Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Adviser Dato' Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin, State Financial Officer Dato' Mohd Zaki Mahyudin, State Exco Members, Deputy State Secretary (Management) Dato' Nor Sham Rahman, Universiti Malaya (UM) Asia-Europe Institute Director Prof. Dato' Dr. Secret Diagram, Institut Darul Ridzuan (IDR) CEO and heads of departments and agencies.
Dato' Seri Saarani added that focus will also be given to improve public and private cooperation, without sidelining social development which is the state's priority next year as focused on in the Perak Budget 2024.
"We will also look at the need for balanced economic development among the districts, as in the Perak Sejahtera 2030 plan all districts in Perak have been branded according to the potential and uniqueness of the districts.
"The concept of district specialisation is an initiative implemented by the state government to ensure that the development gap between districts can be reduced," he said.
